Monastery of Saint Saba
Judea Desert - It's amazing place! This picture present the Greek Orthodox monastery of Saint Saba (Mar Saba). The oldest ongoing inhabited monastery in the Holy Land and one of the oldest inhabited monasteries in the world, founded
by Saint Saba of Cappadocia in the year 439.

'The Rose of Judea Desert' and behind there is monastery of Mar Saba. Actually, it is wild flower Capparis Spinosa, the caper bush, also called Fliders rose.
I called this picture 'The Rose of Judea Desert'.
The Capparis spinosa and Persian flower Ranunculus Asiaticus are – in my opinion – the most beautiful flowers of Judea Desert.
